Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 30 days. Should the goods being returned be unopened and therefore can be resold (which will be assessed after collection), we will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. WineDrop will collect the goods. WineDrop will bear the cost of returning / collecting the goods, however should the courier make multiple attempts for collection and you are not present, any charges from the courier will be for you to cover. Should the returned goods be opened or damaged, the refund will not be granted and the goods will either be kept by winedrop.co.za, or offered to be returned to you.
Should you open the goods and upon consumption have clear reason to believe that the goods are not consumable – that is, the wine is corked for example – you may request a return. In this instance you need to ensure that the wine is sealed to the best of your ability to maintain its current state. The corked wine will then be collected by our couriers and taken to our distributors who will use experts in wine tasting to assess the wine. Should the wine be deemed “corked” or not consumable for any reason that was clearly a cause of the manufacturer or distributor, you will be fully refunded for both the goods and the original delivery.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
